About Meanders work in photography

https://www.instagram.com/meandering.images?igsh=bnA5YTdzcnppZzc2My autonomous work in analog photography consists of polaroids, medium formats and 35mm film. Often I rely on myself as a subject to express my life, my time, my moods my actions. By seeing my body as an object in my art it allows me to accept it, to love it and to feel what it needs. There is even space to distance myself of my body when I'm in the flow and feel the energy of creating. We are works of art as well as tools to make more art. Creating with what we are is a place where I can go to. The creating is the place. And once I'm there it feels like I don't need more than that, I could easily stay there for a really long time.
Nature thought me to create
I use materials as well as nature to get inspired. Often I prepare my shoots by collecting all types of certain themed objects or fabric. Many walks in nature I've been pinning on the maps to go back to and shoot there. A lot of elements collected to make the shooting happen. When I need ideas it requires time with my eyes closed and visualise the hours with my camera. Sometimes all it needs to get started is the right light. I then have all the options there, the fabric, the materials, 3 or 4 camera's, but when the light is good I improvise with nothing but that light and get in the flow of posing and shooting and the hours just fly by. Just my nude self or a nude friend. Not using a thing of what I prepared beforehand.
Nude photography is another way for me to get that timeless feeling I strive for.
I am led by the compositions appearing in the woods, not afraid to jump in cold waters when I'm in the process of making. Outdoor elements guide my decisions and inform the art I make.
We can be anything we want whilst capturing ourselves or a likeminded artist. Working with model friends is a privilege I am so grateful for. They inspire me every time. It was only after taking self-portraits for some years that I had the courage of working with other models and photographers. That step was one of the best ones I took because together we get into even more insights about ourselves and we inspire each other to make even more and better works.
